Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2015!!

Hello everybody,

We are getting to the end of the first trimester at the school, and from the Bilingual department we would like to wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2015!

Let us give you some advice to be followed during this Christmas time:

- Remember that a family Christmas dinner is not a formal competition against your mother-in-law of how many ``mazapán´´ you can eat. Enjoy the dinner but, above all, enjoy the company of your loved ones.

- Remember to pour some milk with cookies under the Christmas tree. You never know who could come to your house that day...

- Remember caroling through the streets and do something for the poorest.

- Finally, remember to practise your English. Read a book or watch the TV in English. This will help you to start the second trimester in a better way.

If you follow our advices, you will definitely have a white and wonderful Christmas!
See you again next year!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

OUR FRIENDS FROM THE WORLD

Hey bloggers,

Today we would like to introduce you to our new foreign friends! They come from the English-speaking world: USA, Australia and Ireland. They have been working with teachers since the start of the course and help us to develop the learning of English in an easier and funnier way!

Let me tell you a little about them:

- MISHA--> She is our friend from the United States. She is funny, close to the children and she loves organising enjoyable games for them in order to teach English. Children love her games!

- OLIVIA --> She is our friend from Australia. She always delights us with her warmly australian personality. She is a very smiling person and sweet with the children. They love her!

- MIKE --> He is our friend from Ireland. You won't believe this but he is the tallest man at the school (O.O) Yes, he is really tall and also a very smart person. He loves reading books in his free time so he knows lots of things. He is a tremendous English teacher!

Thank you guys for helping us (teachers and children) to know more about the English language and culture. You are great!!!

=)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

¡Hola blogueros!

¡SOIS VERDADERAMENTE GENIALES!

The 3R's

Hey!

Do you know which number is MAGIC? Children from 3rd grade they already know this! Can you guess it? Not yet? Ok, here you are. The number we are looking for is 3.

We are going to learn about the 3R's. That's why 3 is a magic number. Three is the number of the good attitude towards the environment. And you know how important is to clean up the environment. Three refers to REDUCE, REUSE and RECYCLE

Children from 3rd grade are learning about the 3Rs by singing, playing and discovering. You want to know how? Ok, but first, listen to the next song.

Jack Johnson- The 3R's

Children usually learn English by songs. It would be great if they learn the lyrics.

LET'S LEARN ABOUT REDUCE!

We learn to reduce in a supermarket. How can we do that? Easily. BRING YOUR OWN PLASTIC BAGS! Avoid to buy new ones. We played a competition in groups to learn this:

How many things can you put in a plastic bag?

LET'S LEARN ABOUT REUSE

The more uses we give to our daily materials, the better.

LET'S LEARN ABOUT RECYCLING

We learn where to place the waste we produce according to the bin colours. That's the best way to learn about recycling!

We hope you like it! :)
