This week in Third Grade...

In Natural Science, we´re looking at the animal kingdom.  The children are learning about vertebrates and invertebrates and how to classify the animals within these subcategories.  Here´s a short video to help your kids study:

In Social Science, we´re finishing up the unit on maps and how to read them.  Practice finding coordinates at home with this latitude/longitude game: http://www.kidsgeo.com/geography-games/latitude-longitude-map-game.php

In English, we are learning about chores.  How do your kids help at home? You can practice their new vocabulary by including them in everyday routines!

Here are some fun photos from various classes this week:

Web Resources to practise the Latitude and Longitude

Hi everybody!

We are working a very difficult topic in 3EP: latitude and longitude.

We know it is difficult. That's why we suggest our students to play online games.
Here are some useful web resources to practise these concepts:

We hope these links will help them studying.

Hello everyone, welcome back to school!  Our names are Liz, Sabrina and Vicky and we are the language assistants for the 2016-2017 schoool year!  Liz and Sabrina are from the United States and Vicky is from the United Kingdom.  We are excited to spend this school year at Mater Immaculata and have a lot of fun activities planned to practice and improve English in the classroom.

To celebrate Autumn and Halloween, we have decorated the bulletin board with festive colors and images.

Stay tuned for more updates about what we´re learning at school!
